Comprehensive Arizona DUI Information
beware of overextended lawyers...
Let those who charge rock bottom prices and take too many clients give somebody else their "bargain," or "discount."

If an attorney has too many cases without the firm resources to back them up, they will not be able to do a good job on all of their cases.
How do lawyers get overextended?
It's not from being too good. The good ones get plenty of referrals, and simply raise their rates rather than taking more clients.
LAWYERS GET OVEREXTENDED BY TRYING TO COVER TOO LARGE OF A GEOGRAPHICAL AREA: If you find a lawyer online, and you know that his office is in, say, Scottsdale, but he agrees to take your case in Tucson, run! Why? Because if the lawyer is willing to drive that far, he is either hurting for business (which generally means he is not very good), or he is bent on taking whatever business he can, regardless of how far he has to drive. I used to take cases all over Arizona, but quickly learned that, to be excellent at what I do and to serve my clients well, I can't spend a large percentage of time in the car. That is why, if you call me to handle a case that is more than an hour drive from my office, I will refer you to a good local attorney you can trust.
If your case is in Tucson, there are top-notice DUI attorneys there. Why would you want to bring somebody in from Phoenix? If your case is in Maricopa County, don't even think of hiring a lawyer from Yuma, Flagstaff or Tucson to represent you.
LAWYERS GET OVEREXTENDED BY BUYING TOO MUCH ADVERTISING: Be careful of paying lawyers for their saturation marketing rather than their skill, expertise, and attention. Ideally, a DUI attorney should not have to take more than one new case each month in order to handle his advertising overhead. An attorney who must take two or three new clients to cover advertising overhead may be alright, but anything above that, beware, your case probably won't be handled exclusively, or even primarily, by the attorney you think you are hiring. You want an Arizona DUI lawyer to whom you are more than just a number.
Never hire an attorney without meeting him/her first. If you have to pay money in order to meet the attorney, then you should realize that that attorney is either 1) too busy to see you (not a good sign for getting personal attention later on); or 2) knows that if you were to meet him first, chances are you would never hire him later.
